Privilege

I have a relationship with my privilege. I know it is there, and I am sometimes ashamed of it. Sometimes it makes me feel guilty. However, sometimes I am also thankful for it. What I don’t know is if this is okay.

    I think the thing about privilege is this:
    It’s not wrong to have privilege and enjoy it. It’s wrong to accept or ignore that others don’t have it and can’t enjoy it.

    The better world won’t be one in which nobody enjoys the benefits of a privileged life — it’ll be the one where everyone does… so that “privileged” becomes synonymous with universal.
